Head of Legal
Mena heads up the legal team at Manolete and brings to her role the benefit of over 30 years’ experience of insolvency litigation gained in solicitor private practice and as IP in house counsel.
On qualification as a solicitor in 1985 Mena joined Wilde Sapte (predecessor firm to Dentons) where she conducted high profile banking and insolvency litigation including the leading authority on trustee’s duties, Nestle v National Westminster Bank PLC. To balance her legal career with bringing up a young family she left the city to become a partner at Parrott & Coales where she focused exclusively on developing a substantial insolvency practice covering all aspects of contentious insolvency, both corporate and personal. At the invitation of an IP client, Nick O’Reilly, Mena then set up and successfully ran an in house legal department for 14 years acting on bankruptcies, IVAs, liquidations, administrations, proceeds of crime receiverships and receiverships by Court appointment.
Mena has lectured to SPI (predecessor to R3) and is a member of the Law Society, The Insolvency Lawyers Association and R3.
