We work alongside IPs from all of the “large national restructuring practices” through to one and two partner specialist insolvency and restructuring practices in the regions. Manolete finances the work of the Insolvency Practitioners and their lawyers to support them to make significant recoveries for the insolvent estates and takes on all the risk of the litigation in the process
Manolete has the financial strength to support claims: Manolete is listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM) and also benefits from substantial working capital facilities from HSBC.
A significant amount of Manolete’s work concerns recovering monies from Directors’ Loan Accounts as well as Transaction at an undervalue (TUV) and Preference and misfeasance/breach of duty by directors.
The Manolete model means a full indemnity so there is no risk to the estate. We don’t use CFAs for solicitors or counsel – solicitors on every case are paid as work is done.
There is no risk to the creditor estate with a compete indemnity given to the Insolvency Practitioner and the estate. Case sizes begin at £20k.
Manolete doesn’t use ATE insurance. Manolete takes all the risk of the litigation.
We pay significant up-front cash payments immediately to relieve the pressure of unpaid WIP. The vast majority of Manolete claims are settled by negotiated agreement typically within 12 months of assignment by using the strength of partnership with the IP and solicitors on the case.

Our strong regional network of lawyers has many years of insolvency litigation experience to support relationships with Insolvency Practitioners and their chosen lawyers. All our regional Associate Directors are solicitors who are expert in insolvency law at or around partner level. They are highly experienced in mediation/ADR as well as issuing claims through the courts.
Business Development
The business development team is led by Andrew Cawkwell and has in recent years expanded its capabilities, strengthened its market presence and achieved significant results.
There has been a strategically co-ordinated approach to developing the business of each of our Associate Directors in the in-house legal team allowing them to fully leverage opportunities within their respective regions.
The team has overseen the renewal of our strategic business relationships with R3, ICAEW and IPA and our expanded social media presence has played a crucial role in increasing our visibility and attracting a greater number of case enquiries.
